Design Approach

We believe that the landscape is the natural extension of interior processes and arrangements — we have indoor spaces for work, play, eating, living and resting. Unlike interior spaces, however, the outdoors is an ever changing ecosystem of many, many, moving parts: color, texture, form, weather(ing), light and the absence of light, and of course all the things we naturally associate with the landscape – plants, the earth, the sky, and beyond. All these moving parts change throughout the day and throughout the seasons either through our intervention, or through the intervention of natural systems. When you choose to work with us, we look at the whole story of what is happening on your property to come to an understanding of the relationship between you and the small slice of heaven that you want to live in. We strive to create designs that have meaningful impact on that relationship, and to ensure that the end result is the embodiment of spirits raised and dreams fulfilled.
